When spring approaches I think about bird houses and bird baths and whimsy for the garden. When fall and winter approach I think about dining with friends and family and making functional pottery and monster serving platters and bowls. I imagine families gathered and enjoying a meal served on my pottery and my heart smiles. When I first put my hands on clay and could only fashion asymmetrical ash trays my fantasy was that one day I would created astounding dinnerware for our children to use and think of Mom when they did. I've been able to create those beautiful dishes (all modesty aside) and everything else I create and sell goes toward animal rescue. The personal satisfaction is immeasurable.
